Hello Class of 2000!

My name is Brian O’Hare, I’m a ‘88 USNA grad and former Marine Captain, presently serving all of us in Los Angeles/Hollywood as a film producer and director. I’ve recently teamed up with your classmate, Zach Guerra, to co-produce his incredible short film “The Devil’s Dosh”. Already with one successful shoot in Liverpool under our belts, we’re in the process of raising $25,000 to finish production of the film in London. To say this is an ambitious project would be a tremendous understatement. But given the tools we’ve all honed at the Naval Academy and our unparalleled ability to make “amazing” simply routine, making this film is not crazy by any stretch of the imagination. We brother and sisters of the Naval Academy like to set the bar high and we love a challenge. In the very near future, I’ll be talking with each of you looking for your support in making this film a tangible reality, something that we all can be proud of and securing yet another beachhead for graduates of the Naval Academy: Hollywood. Thanks everybody! Looking forward to talking with you all.

Semper Fidelis,

Brian O’Hare, USNA ‘88
Producer, “The Devil’s Dosh”

My name is Justin Legg and in two months time I am going to put myself through a great deal of pain to walk a half marathon in order to raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). I am participating in their Team In Training program to Walk/Jog the Virginia Beach Shamrock Half Marathon on 21 March 2011. This will be only 8 months after my double lung-transplant, and I still haven’t gotten all the muscle back in my “leggs”. I’m now asking you to help by making a donation to my fundraising campaign.

Please use the link in this email to read more about my story as a Navy SEAL and all of life’s detours that I have traveled. You can donate online quickly and securely plus learn more about my progress. You will receive a confirmation of your donation by email and I will be notified as soon as you make your donation.

This page will give you access to my stories and my updates as we get closer to race day. It will give you reasons to donate and convince others to donate. Each donation helps accelerate finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. More than 823,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers. My battle with Leukemia is hopefully over, but I am still fighting the war. I am hoping that my participation in Team In Training will help bring hope and support to others who are now dealing with what I went through.

On behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, thank you very much for your support. I greatly appreciate your generosity.
Thank you,
Justin Legg

Shipmates, welcome to the new USNA2000.com. This is a tool for us to plan, share information, and connect with classmates around the globe. Things have progressed quite a bit since the days of blue screen c coral and nadn.navy.mil. Hopefully by connecting some of the toolsets currently out on the web we can continue 2000’s rise to the top.
